After working so hard the whole year, the time has come to sit back and relax on one of the most famous and top beaches in India to welcome the New Year in a full swing. Be it with friends or with a partner or alone, these beaches are the place you want to be this year no matter what.
Vacation Beaches In India
Well, in our heart we all knew that this place is going to be in the top. Who doesn’t want to visit Goa? Goa is a place which comes in everybody’s dream. Atleast mine! Every New Year we plan to visit Goa, but end up either working or going to a party with friends. So, if you have already visited Goa you want to go again. It is one of the India’s party capital. It has everything from Parasailing to swimming, Goa has everything you need to party.
Most of the Beaches in Goa are enclosed by thick forest coconut palms. In some of the beaches you can even spot dolphins, and have a picturesque surrounding.

Gokarna is situated only 190 kilometres from the south of Goa. It is most famous for its Mahabaleshwar temple, its pristine beaches in its tranquil town you can just enjoy your day basking in the sun reading books without much distraction. Gokarna is quite well-connected to major cities through trains and buses. It is one of the major religious sites, it can blend religion with beach fun. Half-moon beach, Om Beach and Paradise Beach are some of the famous ones with fine sand and rocky coast.
3Mandarmani Beach, Kolkata
Mandarmani is a fishing village that is situated 180 km south from Kolkata. Its beach stretches almost nearly 15km, making it one of the longest beaches in India. It is also known as the most unpolluted beach in the country, which have countless number of crab colonies.

4Kovalam and Marari, Kerala
Kerala’s exotic beauty is an open secret to everybody. This God’s own state draws many tourists from all over the world who get succumb to its magnificence. This time around visit the Marari beach in Kerala located in Alleppey district. This town can be the paradisiacal retreat from the world because of its brimming beauty on all the four sides.
If you go further south from Marari, another rejuvenating beach awaits for you known as Kovalam Beach. Generally it is a fishing Village, but Kovalam has gathered much tourist attention during these recent years. These lighthouse beaches have clean and pristine water and coconut trees on one side. You can go for a morning cruise with fishermen or can also hire a surfboard.
When we are talking about beaches then how can we forget about Havelock Island in Andaman. Its turquoise water, vibrant coral reef, sparkling white sand and calm that can fill the air, adding to its fun is snorkeling, elephant rides, scuba diving, trekking, and a lot more entertainment to fulfill your ideal beach vacation. Havelock promises a pleasant and rejuvenating holiday where celebration is done by being together with nature. The elephant and Randhanagar are some of the best places to go for a swim and enjoy water sports.
Pondicherry or Puducherry is one of the best known places in India for relaxation and meditation. It is also famous for its French Connection. Remember “Life of a Pi’? Well, something like that Pondicherry has completely retained its French connection through its French culture and architecture and it is a very different as well as unique places to visit in India. It is also famous for Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Auroville where you can see thousands of people seeking solace in the well-maintained waterfront. You can try beach activities like canoeing, backwater sailing, camping at the beach, Kayaking and Sunbathing.

A holiday at Mahabalipuram can give you a culinary indulgence of its fresh seafood preparation from a dash of its cultural history and an ultimate relaxation in its sunbathed clean and beautiful beaches. You can take part in activities like swimming and windsurfing on a warm day at Mahabalipuram. A must visit place over there is the famous monolithic Pandava Rathas and Varaha Cave Temples that is from the 7th century with Mahabharat scenes sculpted on the rocks.
