1Swedana (sweating therapy)
Swedana is a type of treatment procedure where the sweat is induced by the application of heat as well as warmth in the form of steam or even by bringing the body parts in contact with the heated medicaments, that is, powders, leaves, processed rice, sand etc, that is tied in boluses. Swedana can also provide relief from the stambha, that is, stiffness and catches; Gaurava, that is, heaviness and Sheeta, that is, coldness into the body parts.
